I know this picture of me is AWFUL, but I love the fact that Donnie is glowing about his daughter being in Missouri FINALLY!!! I had just gotten over the big, ugly cry face!
This is my favorite picture! Malaena-Sloan is wanting to get to know Bianca and it's been that way ever since! Bianca wants to "hold" Malaena...Malaena weighs about as much as Bianca! These girls are going to grow up as virtual sisters like Chantelle and I are! 
I had NO idea that Chantelle would be there when we arrived home! This moment was filled with SO many emotions! I am so grateful to Chantelle, Eric and Bianca for greeting us home 8-weeks ago today! Chantelle was with me every step of our journey to Malaena-Sloan!

Our little princess on the move doing her army-man, backward snail crawl. She is getting where she wants to go and LOVES being in the floor. Malae is a texture girl. She wants to "feel" everything. She crawls over to the fireplace to feel the marble in front of it.
Our nine-month-old daughter! She's growing up in rapid time! SLOW DOWN TIME!!!!
This is definitely my daughter....little feet and healthy thighs. Brock is convinced she will be an athlete as you should see her jump. I've been around tons of children in my 10 years of childcare, and never have a seen a baby that is so passionate about jumping and eating. She can jump for HOURS! She loves an audience (just like her Mama!) I'm not sure the Rainforest Jumparoo is going to last!This week was an unusual one as Donnie and Logan went to Washington, D.C. It was hard not having the physical and emotional support of Donnie at home. Malaena-Sloan would awake each morning and look around for her Daddy. When he finally arrived home Friday morning at 2:30am, she woke up for her feeding and you couldn't wipe the smile off her face. We hung out this week with Chantelle and Bianca and Aunt Nikki visited a couple of times.
Malaena-Sloan and I have a summer cold. She's coping with it better than me. I had a doctor's appointment Wednesday via telephone to go over my blood work. I've been feeling badly, and I just knew that my thyroid levels were low again. Well, that honestly would have been easier treated. I have severe adrenal fatigue. I was diagnosed with this three years ago, but I had cured myself by following the doctor's strict order. I rested when I was tired and took a medicine to help keep my sugar-level stable. I took my first dose of medication this evening, and have yet to get much rest as Malae was up and down all night.
I read MANY blogs about adoptive parents. No mom has mentioned the hormones that go along with bringing the baby home. It is just like having the child naturally. I want to cry at the drop of the hat, and feel so TIRED! I feel guilty for feeling so tired and being so emotional as there are so many parents still waiting to bring children home! These feelings have nothing to do with the love and commitment for my child....it's simply just getting in the groove of having little time for myself or getting the normal stuff done. I did go and do something drastic....I CUT MY HAIR OFF! I cried over that as I HATED it initially. I'm getting used to it, but I'm not a short-hair person though it's still able to go into a ponytail. I'll post a picture of myself soon.

Your daughter is so adorable! I love the pictures. They do grow up too fast. That's why I had to adopt another on. Where does the time go?
I remember going through that exact same stage of hormones. It was also around 8 weeks after bringing Analise home. Hang in there! Your adjustment phase will end soon and you'll be sleeping through the night before you know it!
Once we decided to make her fall asleep in her own bed...it made a huge difference for all of us. We all slept so much better!!
Malae is BEAUTIFUL!!! OF COURSE!!
What can we say? WE LOVE THIS CHILD!!! I am so happy that she has been home for 2 months now. We love you guys and I am so happy that Bianca and Malaena will grow up together.
I know we talk about it, but it is so good that you posted how you have been feeling. I am sure other people will read it and appreciate your honesty. I went through the exact same feelings. Maybe even more so when your child is adopted, there might even be more guilt...You are just so happy to have them home, and still you know so many families waiting on bringing their babies home...Give yourself time to adjust.

The hormones do come with adoption too although I didn't realize it until I talked to another adoptive mom because i figured mine was chalked up to giving birth to Olivia five weeks before I picked up Arianna! It will get better and feel free to call if you need to chat!!

Malaena-Sloan is doing so fantastic!! I love all the pics, she's adorable! And yes, the hormones! I even had them when we adopted our teenage girls, as teenagers! I am just so grateful that we got our babies home, and pray for those still waiting.
