Malaena-Sloan and Aunt Demetra! Demetra has worked with horses her whole life. She said that if you compared Malaena to a horse, she was a sweet spirited one that would load easy! Also, Malaena performs well for her audience!

OH! MALAE LOVED POSING IN THE BUFF ON HER NEW BLANKIE FROM AUNT DEMETRA! Just a little touch of TEXAS in our house now!We had an awesome weekend as Demetra, one of my two best friends since I was 6-years-old, came home from Texas! Donnie and I picked Penny up and headed south. We stopped by Mom's and Malaena-Sloan got LOTS of attention! We met the whole gang at a restaurant at Holcomb. We had a very good visit but it went by WAY to quickly! Malaena was passed like a sack of taters! She slept SO GREAT that night....can we do it again next week?!
Yesterday evening, Donnie, Brock, Malae and I headed to Perryville. One of my dear friends passed away, Paul Unverferth! We opened the paper Saturday morning and there was his picture....I couldn't believe it. I met Paul when I was teaching school as he was taking the adult computer class just after he had a diving accident leaving him paralyzed. Paul was only 49, and they believe he passed as a result of a heart attack or a blood clot. He has three beautiful daughters that loved their daddy very much! He was a GREAT man.

It was a great weekend and I am so happy I could be a part of it! I miss my friends so much! Although there were a couple missing, they were there with us in our hearts. This was a memorable Memorial Day Weekend!! Thanks!! Love you!
