new friends (of all ages)....

My husband and I have been in the preschool business for 10 years. Many people don't realize that I actually earned my degree in elementary education, so when Brock was 7, I made the career change to run preschools. It was a GREAT job when Brock was young as he could go to work with me and come to work with me after school. When we began opening restaurants over five years ago, I got less involved in the preschools and did more administrative things.

This past week, I got to get hands-on with the preschoolers again and it was a BLAST!!!! I had an awesome time. Let me tell ya, Ms. Cheri (like the tree, like the fruit, like the pie) hasn't lost her "kiddo" skills. The children were SSSSSWWWEEEETTTT! I think I captured some GREAT pictures of the little tikes! I didn't shoot the "typical" school shots, but when have you known me to do anything the "typical" way.

This little guy's pic could be my all-time favorite of the day. Why?! WELL....he talked to me coming up to the stool, sat, smiled and left. It was just natural and he's a cutie patootie!
