FORGIVE me!!! I know my blogging posts have been few and far between! I officially opened for business on September 1, and MAN....GOD HAS BLESSED ME WITH AN ABUNDANCE OF SHOOTS! I actually have to get running now at 7:38am as I've got shoots today!
A brief update for all my friends.....
YESTERDAY WAS A HUGE DAY FOR ME. If you know anything about getting a website up and running, it's very time consuming. Especially if you are trying to go from an HP computer to a MAC in the midst. WELL....yesterday, 2 things were accomplished. I edited a full-batch of photos on my Mac and THE WEBSITE IS LAUNCHED! Please visit me HERE!!!!
I had 3 shoots last week in a 5 day period that involved HORSES! Anyone who knows me really knows HOW I'm afraid of about all animals....both LARGE AND SMALL! On Friday, when I took the bottom shoot, Malaena-Sloan went along! I'll have to post the picture of her later! SHE LOVED THE HORSE!!!! The horse let her walk under her, AND THE HORSE ATE GRASS RIGHT OUT OF HER HAND! When I thought over last week, I had to chuckle as I know God has a sense of HUMOR!!! Horses are hard animals to photograph as they typically don't care for the photographer. Put it this way, I'd say a two-year-old named Malaena-Sloan is easier to capture than a HORSE!!!

Great photos. I love the bride photo.
Animals are especially hard to capture as they don't cooperate too well. I did a bird photo shoot with a photographer from National Geographic, he said, be sure to wait until the sun catches their eye and you see that white, gleaming spot. They turn out much better when that light hits their eye.
Hey, here's a tip for horses. Keep a loud candy wrapper in your hand. When you want them to llok at you just give it a good crinkle in your hand. That way their ears will turn forward towards you.
You can also use a small plastic bag or clicker of some sort.
