Malaena-Sloan's Staking Her Claim....

Welcome to my clubhouse!
Malaena-Sloan's giving all our blog friends a big "HI!"
This is Malaena-Sloan's eye trick she does on cue of us saying, "Do your eyes." One of my favorite looks!
Thought this was a funny shot....just in time for Halloween sporting the "fang!"
I can get out of my clubhouse in a number of ways...this is facing forward feet first!
Just a little "clap clap" for myself!

We have dubbed the cabinet under my side of the sink as Malaena-Sloan's "Clubhouse." This evening after supper, I asked if she wanted to brush her teeth and play in her clubhouse. She said, "K," and started crawling toward the bathroom. I about cracked up as I refer to the place each morning when I'm getting ready as the clubhouse but didn't know she knew what I was talking about. I'm getting ready to really make it her "Clubhouse" with toys and such in there. She fits perfectly and if I had a small pillow, can lay down in there for years to come.

We had a family outing yesterday and headed to Columbia, MO, to tour the University of Missouri. We had our 18-year-old son and one-year-old daughter touring the campus. It was a cold day and the first time Malae has ever had to wear a coat. She had a ball. It was a four hour trip there, a four-hour tour, and four hours home. She did great! Brock loved the campus and perhaps will be Mizzou bound.

Malaena-Sloan is babbling up a storm and says many functional words and some words that only Mom and Dad know the meaning of. Her new favorite thing is chewing gum and, yes, she chews it for 15 minutes or so. It's so hilarious to watch! Her center top teeth are just about to make an appearance which I'm glad as people ask if we are sure they are there. Malae has taken up to 8 steps, but it's on her own without help. Malaena-Sloan does so many new things daily is hard to report all of them. The girl is on-the-go and her sleep habits stink as far as I'm concerned. She flops all night long and some nights are so bad I truly don't get much sleep. The last 2 nights have been 2 of the worse for me, but I think there's a direct relation to her teething....what do I know?!

Thanks for checking in!

Oooh "snuggle puppy I love you"! One of Bella's favorite books and it so applies to my Malae. So darn cute, loving the teeth. I wish I had room under my sink or in any of my cupboards for Bella, but she is not moving much these days any ways. Short term issue, God has big plans. Love and miss you, Sus

What a beautiful girl...I would not expect her to be any other way than "on the go" with you as her Mother!! I can not wait to see all of you...just 6 more weeks until we head for home (hard to believe we have been gone 5 months). See you soon. Bren & Steve

I love her expressions. How fun, a clubhouse! I should do that with mine since he loves taking the stuff out of it.
