INTRODUCING MALAENA SLOAN HARRIS

It has happened...we have added our latest addition to the Harris Family. Her name is Malaena Sloan Harris, and she was born September 26, 2007 at 2:03pm. She is 5lbs. 7oz and is 18 1/2 inches long. She has a head-full of black hair and chocolate brown eyes that will melt her Daddy from this point forward! She has olive color skin. We have beautiful pictures that I can't seem to get loaded onto the blog. SO...pictures will follow soon.

We are headed to St. Louis tomorrow to get Malaena's Power-of-Attorney in motion! We have so much paperwork to do in the next week. Time is crucial as there are so many new laws that could affect getting Malaena home. Please pray that this adoption will go smoothly and we will get her home without any gliches!

Thanks to all who have been praying and I am going to be greedy by asking for you to keep the prayers going UP!

Donnie and I have looked at her non-stop today in disbelief that a year has flown by. We got the call about 9:30am from our executive director with all the details about our daughter. We were told we had a day or so to make a decision. Pictures were sent about an hour later and it literally took us 2.3 seconds to make THE decision. I have to say that it was one of the few decisions that I made knowing I was doing God's will in my life. I'm watching our little Hambone now play with her youngest brother and daddy. She just has her diaper on, and a big ol' grin. She's shaking her head NO telling her brother she doesn't want down. MY...how one year will change your life forever! What a warm, fuzzy feeling I have in my heart today because of our beautiful daughter!

Looking back on these pictures and hearing everyones story on homecoming and referal, bring back so much emotions. What a magical picture.

Wanted to know who your agency was. Something about that picture looks so familiar.
