2 WEEK COUNTDOWN....

I went to Toys 'R Us Wednesday evening to buy some essentials...more diapers, baby orajel, teething ring, etc. I had a funny feeling in the bit of my stomach. It was a feeling that made me dizzy-headed as it hit me like a ton of bricks....OUR daughter is finally coming home. I have prayed and thought about this, even imagined HOW I would feel when we got this close to her homecoming. I will tell you, that short shopping trip brought to me a ton of emotions. I'm a little scared. I'm a little anxious. I have a sense that my freedom is limited for a few years. The BIG feeling I get is PEACE. Peace that being a wife and mother is what purpose God has for my life! I'm so excited that I can hardly stand it.

I got to talk all about adoption last night as my friend from Michigan, Susie, and her husband, David, came to visit my husband and me. We met on an adoption forum back in January. We became istant friends and started chatting on the telephone. After several conversations, we realized how many similarities we have. Well, after meeting, I can tell you that our similarities are scary. We are sisters from another mother! It's bizarre down to random, odd details, how much we have in common. The fun part about meeting is will be in Guatemala at the same time, and get to spend more time together! Susie, thanks for making the long trip to have a sleep-over! I will forever treasure our time shared and so look forward to the next time we hang out. You must remember to send me the picture, so I can have it on my blog!

Donnie and I are enjoying some down-time together. We know this precious time is limited, and we are going to enjoy each other the next 2 weeks!
