NO OUT THIS WEEK....

I post this picture just to show that Malaena-Sloan is cute even when things don't go her way. Things didn't go my way this week, and I didn't get "the" phone call! BooHoo! When we decided to adopt, we knew the wait would be difficult, BUT neither Donnie or I had a clue! We awake with it on our minds and lay our heads on our pillows with Malaena-Sloan being our last thought. We know that God's perfect timing will bring our daughter home. When we got the call about Malaena on October 4th, we speculated that we would bring her home in March or April. Well, we are UNSURE when she will come home, but when she does, it will be perfect. Next week is a HUGE celebration week in Guatemala as they honor Christ's resurrection with a week long of festivities. We have been told that the offices will be shut Wednesday through Friday. SO, this is where we stand. We are VERY close to getting the call that we are OUT of PGN. When we do get the call, it will be 4-6 weeks before we get our appointment at the U.S. Embassy. We will be travelling very soon to bring our baby girl home, so we can spoil her rotten!
P.S. Don't think for a MINUTE, Malaena-Slaon was mad very long. We had been taking pictures for 10 minutes or so, and she decided she was hungry in a split-second! Mama had the bottle ready!

Cheri, you and your family continue to be in our prayers. We received our referral Sept.10th and had hope to have our girls home for Christmas. Honestly the wait from Sept. until arriving home last week (just before Easter not Christmas) was SO much more difficult than we ever thought possible. With everyday closer the anticipation grew. But rest assure, God's perfect timing is SO worth the wait. May your hearts be comforted and your minds at ease that Malaena's arrival is in His hands.

Well, bummer! We didn't get our out either this week. Hopefully both of ours will be coming very soon!

The wait is soooo long! I remember it with Joe. I always thought he was coming, but he didn't come when we wanted him to. Now we have to wait for Ella! PATIENCE, PATIENCE, PATIENCE! I hope you get your OUT soon.

You should know something this next week for sure. We are praying ourselves for the 4 week tendency for out. We've personally been at this (since POA registered) for 8 months. Took forever to get into PGN and then KO'd for no PA, but now we are back in and still trusting the Lord for his perfect timing, striving each day not to be anxious.

You're little girl looks simply precious. Feel free to check out our blog as well.
